Healthy School Programme

The college had been approached by a local primary school to conduct a "Healthy School" day for the whole school during the schools Healthy School Week.

10 staff were involved in this delivery looking at different aspects of a healthy lifestyle in a station format. The stations included:

• Sport Psychology (Yr5 & 6 only)
• Nutrition
• Dance
• Olympics
• Paralympics
• Circuits
• Aerobics
• Anatomy & Physiology
• Team Sports
• FUNdamentals

Volunteers were involved to assist in the delivery of the stations and proved invaluable on the day. The SVP is hoping to repeat this event as it was very well received; however this time the volunteers will be delivering the stations without the SNC staff being there to assist. This therefore will give a higher level of volunteer opportunity to the students.
