Student Finance Advice

The Student Finance Advisers can give confidential advice and information on funding to support their studies. Students may have high course costs, such as kit or equipment, or high travel costs. Help with these costs may be available through the college. Students can get help with issues such as homelessness and accommodation, and practical support with filling in forms. If you would like to speak to a Student Financial Adviser, appointments can be made via the diary, which is held in the Student Centre at West Bridgford and Charnwood or tel: 0115 9146379.

EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance)

If you are aged between 16-18 and attend college on any fulltime course up to level 3, you may be entitled to receive EMA. You could receive up to £30 per week + bonuses if you are doing well on your course.

ALG (Adult Learning Grant)

Students aged 19+ studying on a fulltime basis for their first full level 2 or first full level 3 qualification, may be entitled to ALG. You could receive up to £30 per week.
