Train to Gain
South Nottingham College is a preferred provider of the Train to Gain service in Nottinghamshire offering employees the opportunity to receive employer-led 100% funded training.
All first full level 2, Skills for Life and ESOL provision is funded for employees who do not already have a full level 2 qualification, or the equivalent of five GCSEs at A* - C grade.

The range of skills for life qualifications include:
- English National Tests (workplace equivalent to GCSE)
- Maths National Tests (workplace equivalent to GCSE)
- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
All training is flexible, responsive and offered at a time and place to suit individual businesses. The NVQ qualifications assess competency within the workplace for this employers who have been in the 'job' for a while. For those who are new to the sector, underpinning knowledge workshops are provided. These qualifications take between 6 and 9 months to complete, with minimal impact on business operations.
The Train to Gain service includes the opportunity for an employer to access advice and support from a broker who will identify the business' training needs. A contribution to wage costs is also available for businesses with 2 - 50 employees.
