Jamie, who decided to take the Apprenticeship route because he enjoys practical tasks, joined Boots as a laboratory technician in September 2010. As part of his Apprenticeship he will study on a day release basis at SNC Training Nottingham for 2 years. The apprenticeship route allows Jamie to put theory (Level 3 BTEC Diploma) into practice (NVQ).
An Apprenticeship was the best option for me. It effectively combines the practical and theory that my job demands. I receive great support from my employer and staff at the College.

I have recommended SNC Training’s Apprenticeship programme to our Engineering section as a great way to gain an education and technical expertise.
Rob Dalby, Business Developer (Boots Analytical)
The College has been instrumental in the development of the programme, especially the recruitment, selection and induction processes. A special relationship between the employer and College has evolved.
