Dental Nursing Advanced Apprenticeship
An Apprenticeship enables an individual to learn, work and earn, and become qualified at the same time. It is a nationally recognised programme designed with the help of employers in the industry and the sector skills council.
This Advanced Apprenticeship is about providing the essential link between dentist and patient. The programme will involve a range of duties like preparing the surgery and dental materials, sterilising and preparing instruments, taking notes during examination, and – with special training – taking and processing x-rays.

Vocational Training – assessed in the workplace
NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing
Functional Skills / Key Skills – usually delivered in college
