Automotive Apprenticeship

An Automotive Apprenticeship enables an individual to learn, work and earn, and become qualified at the same time.

The automotive apprenticeship allows for specialisation in a variety of areas including motorcycles, cars, heavy vehicles or vehicle electrical systems. The framework is based upon a combination of qualification outcomes which together provide the knowledge, understanding and skills required for an individual working in the automotive industry.

Automotive Apprenticeship

Vocational Training - assessed in the workplace
NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Pathways include: vehicle fitting, maintenance and repair,
body & paint operations, part operations, roadside assistance & recovery

Technical Certificate - usually delivered in college
Level 2 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Functional Skills / Key Skills – usually delivered in college
Communication Level 1
Application of Number Level 1

Automotive Advanced Apprenticeship

Vocational Training - assessed in the workplace
