Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a great way to study for a nationally recognised qualification whilst getting on the job training in the workplace and earning money while you learn.

All Apprentices build up knowledge and develop their skills in the workplace which enables them to evidence their National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 2. This will be supported by working towards Key Skills/Functional Skills qualifications and in most cases a technical certificate which gives the technical knowledge in the subject area. There is the opportunity to progress to an Advanced Apprenticship (NVQ Level 3).

You will be employed by a local company in your chosen occupational area for 4 days per week and attend planned college sessions on one day per week.

There is a wide range of Apprenticeships available at South Nottingham College.

Once you've achieved your qualification, you'll have proof that you've acquired real marketable skills and knowledge which will help you in your chosen career.
