About Karen Williams

“The Tailor of Charnwood” is based in the heart of the Charnwood area in Loughborough, Leicestershire and offers one-off clothing that is Bespoke – Befitting and Beautiful. Clothing that fits, in a style to suit, with a fabric to enhance.

A chance encounter with the manager of a high-end clothing store left me wondering whether I should change my career. Eventually I came to SNC to train up and start again. Having completed Tailoring, Advanced Pattern Cutting, Fashion, Design and Textile Decoration courses (City and Guilds L3/L2) and submitted my family and friends to my creations, I am facing the challenge of the public.

Initially intending to concentrate on children’s coats, I have been busy with items of gents’ tailoring, ladies' day and eveningwear and childrens' day wear, as well.

A child of the 60’s, with my heart in the 70’s and the expressive freedom of the noughties, trying a custom item isn’t a risk, it’s a cert. I look forward to fitting you soon.
