Hockey players from the Athlete Performance Programme at South Nottingham College moved a step closer to representing English Colleges last week.

A total of 14 students from South Nottingham College represented the college in the recent English Colleges Football Association and British Colleges East Midland Trials at Football (female and male), Hockey (male) and Rugby (male). The students competed against representatives from other colleges in the East Midlands, for the honour of being selected to the regional squad, which now moves them two steps away from the opportunity of being selected in the National Squad.

An exhibition of world-class portrait photographs is due to open in South Nottingham College's Charnwood Centre in Clifton. The exhibition is free to the public and will run from Thursday 3 November to Friday 9 December and is based upon portraiture and spans images from the birth of photography in the middle of the 19th century to contemporary images. The exhibition has been kindly loaned by the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust in aid of the Bromley House Studio Heritage Project, based in the attic of the Bromley House Lending Library.
