As part of the proposal to merge with Castle College Nottingham, the Corporation of South Nottingham College gave an undertaking to review the name of the College once merger had been completed (July 2011).

Gambia Festival
Travel and Tourism students from South Nottingham College are staging their annual Gambia Festival at the Britannia Hotel (St James Street Nottingham) on Thursday 10 May. Staff and students organise the event which raises money to pay for flights and accommodation costs for a Gambian student to study at the College.
Sport Gambia Project Wins Silver Medal
South Nottingham College’s “Sport Gambia” project has won a silver medal award for the “British Council Award for Innovative International Collaboration” category at the Podium Awards.
