Computer Games & Interactive Media (Foundation Degree Higher Education)

Games and interactive products are being developed in all areas of media communication. Their growth is the largest in all media sectors and confirms the significance of computer games and interactive media as a mainstream UK industry. The course has been developed to support this growth by supplying students these expanding and developing industries. The course will operate with the latest developments ing ames and itneractive media and will involve multi-disciplinary programmes to support both pathways. This will enable students to access careers where they are equipped with essential core skills and techniques within the industry.

Fine Art Yr 1 (HNC Higher Education)

Students work alongside the full-time HND groups in the same studio space on the common core units and on selected specialist optional units listed under the HND Fine Art.

Textiles Design (BTEC HND Higher Education)

HND Textile Design students study a core programme of modules during the first two terms.

Visual Arts Practice (Foundation Degree Higher Education)

This broad-based course offers and embraces a wide range of Visual Arts disciplines, allowing students to work in the materials and methods of their choice (in negotiation with tutors), including drawing, painting, printmaking, illustration, photography, installation, intervention, performance, moving image and digital technologies.

These programmes are run by well-qualified specialist tutors who deliver an experience that is student-centred, supportive and challenging and that is very much about preparing individuals for a rewarding professional future.

Courses are run at the Charnwood Centre, which provides a well-equipped environment for study with specialist art and design studios on a greenfield-site campus.
