Course Information:

This programme offers extensive training and development in all aspects of Hairdressing. You will need to be employed for a minimum of 16 hours a week. You will come into college one day a week to complete the underpinning knowledge and portfolio building to compile the evidence you need for the NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing and Key/Functional Skills.

Entry Requirements:

4 GCSEs including English Language at grades A* - D or NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing with GCSE English Language at grades A*-D.

Course Content:

Cutting; Styling; Colouring; Consultation; Selling; Reception duties; Key Skills

Assessment:

Regular assessment via on-going coursework and student progress is monitored via tutorials.

Additional Information:

The course will incur costs for kit, uniform, and workshops and will be discussed at interview You will be required to attend college at West Bridgford 1 day per week. You will need to be employed by a salon or seeking employment. Key Skills/ functional skills are an essential part of the course.
