Course Information:

You will be employed for a minimum of 16 hours a week, but up fo 4 full days per week. You will come into college 1 day a week to complete the underpinning knowledge and portfolio building to compile the evidence you need for the NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing.

Entry Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing, or other equivalent qualifications. Key skills application of number and communications at L2 or equivalent GCSE Grade C or above required. A good standard of Hairdressing skills and a desire to update qualifications and learn more creative cutting and colour correction techniques. Ideal for candidates who are working in the industry.

Course Content:

Advanced cutting; Styling; Client consultation; Colouring; Setting; Dressing long hair. Optional units will be included and discussed on course. Your contribution to a Hair show is included in this course

Assessment:

Regular assessment via on-going coursework and written papers. Student progress is monitored via tutorials.

Additional Information:

The course will incur costs for kit, uniform, and workshops and will be discussed at interview An Interview will be required. You will be required to attend college at West Bridgford 1 day per week. You will need to be employed by a salon or seeking employment. Key Skills/functional skills are an essential part of the course.
