Why South Nottingham College?

Given our recent merger with Castle College we can now offer a wider range of courses at more sites across the city. Over the past few years South Nottingham College has been ranked in the top 10% of colleges nationally for student success and two of our students have been named national Student of the Year. We expect to continue this success but now as a larger college.

Tutorials

Each student is allocated a personal tutor at induction who is responsible for helping the student settle in to College life and for monitoring individual progress with regard to work and general personal wellbeing throughout their course of study. This close support helps ensure that the students get the very best out of their time at College.

Apprenticeships

South Nottingham College offers apprenticeships in Business/Admin, Care, Customer Care, Hair, Hospitality, Management, Retail/Financial Services and Sport. So, students are not only studying for a recognised qualification but also getting paid to do it whilst getting 'hands on' experience, which nearly all employers ask for in their job specification.

National Qualifications Framework

The following table shows the range of qualifications that exist, the different levels available and how they relate to one another.
