Structure

The Corporation meets 9 times a year to undertake its responsibilities and ensure the strategic aims of the college are met.

The Instrument and Articles of Government require the Corporation to have an Audit Committee and a Search Committee working alongside the Corporation with terms of reference agreed by the Corporation. Each Committee has a membership made up of representatives of the Governing Body and report back to the Corporation on a regular basis.

In accordance with the Instrument and Articles of Government and the Standing Orders, the Governing Body has a statement of openness with regards to Corporation business which is as follows:

Access to College Information

The policy of the College in relation to public access to information is to demonstrate that it is open and accountable in the conduct of business and decision-making. Full details can be found in the Access to Information Policy adopted by the Corporation. The College has produced a Publication Scheme to meet the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). The College also complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and ensures that personal data is dealt with appropriately.

Confidential information will be withheld in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the reasons provided. Requests for information will be made in accordance with the timescales laid down in the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The collation of information may be subject to charges that are laid down in the College Publication Scheme.
