Sport Scholarships

South Nottingham College is committed to providing structured support to individuals enabling them to excel in both their academic and sporting careers whilst raising the profile and standard of sport at SNC. The purpose the Sport Scholarship Award is to build upon SNC’s reputation as a successful sporting College.

Through the Award we will seek to further enhance SNC’s track record and recognition for successfully supporting athletes. Our aim is to achieve success in student sports competition, with an aspiration of winning individual events at the British Colleges Sport National championships.

SNC have prioritised sports that are part of the BCS Individual competitions, these are

• Badminton – Singles / Doubles / Mixed Doubles
• Golf
• Squash – Singles
• Swimming
• Table Tennis – Singles / Doubles / Mixed Doubles
• Tennis – Singles
• Trampolining
• X-Country

The Scholarship includes

• The chance to represent SNC at all BCS competitions
• £250 available to pay club fees and buy specialist sports equipment
• Support through a personal scholarship mentor
• Club – College partnership so that all your sporting and academic progress is planed and monitored
• Free SNC Active Gym membership to help you compete at the highest level
• SNC branded Hoodie
• Attendance at the Sports Awards and other Promotional Events as an ambassador of the college
• Access to Sports Science support including sports therapy and treatment of injuries
